Heat foil pens

Heat foil pens are a specialized type of pen or marker used for foil stamping and foil embossing. They work by applying heat and pressure to transfer a thin metallic foil onto a surface, creating a shiny, metallic effect.

Heat foil pens contain an internal heating element that heats up the tip of the pen to the necessary temperature, typically between 200-400°F.

When the hot tip of the pen comes into contact with the surface, it activates and transfers a thin layer of metallic foil onto the material. Common foil colors include gold, silver, copper, and holographic.

In addition to heat, heat foil pens apply pressure to the surface to ensure the foil adheres properly. This is usually achieved through a weighted or spring-loaded pen tip.

Heat foil pens can be used on a variety of surfaces including paper, cardboard, leather, plastic, and fabric. They work especially well on smooth, non-porous materials.

The pen-like design allows for detailed, controlled foil application compared to large foil stamping machines. This makes heat foil pens ideal for small-scale projects, customization, and intricate designs.

Heat foil pens are commonly used in crafting, scrapbooking, card making, invitations, and other decorative applications where a shiny, metallic accent is desired. They provide a quick and easy way to add a touch of elegance and sophistication.
